COVID-19

The health and safety of our guests and staff is our top priority. We will create an environment where all visitors feel safe, just as they would in their own home. With a thorough COVID-19 safety plan in place, visitors can feel at ease about entering the 45,000-square-foot space.

Effective October 1, 2021, at the Government of Ontario’s recommendation, Little Canada is requiring that visitors provide Proof of Vaccination upon entry. Proof of Vaccination consists of printed or digital receipt of a second dose of vaccine that was administered a minimum of 14 days prior to visiting Little Canada. A government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, Ontario photo card, health card or passport must also be presented. Although we love to see your smiling faces, for everyone’s safety, all guests and staff aged 2 and up are required to wear face masks. Forgot your mask? Little Canada will provide you with one, although we encourage you to bring your own.

Our staff will practice physical distancing. We ask that all guests join us in standing one moose length apart. Signage and floor vinyls will be displayed throughout the attraction to further re-inforce physical distancing.

Little Canada is offering General Admission Timed Tickets. When purchasing your ticket to Little Canada, guests are asked to select a specific entry time. This is to ensure that we are controlling capacity and guest flow throughout the attraction at all times.

We ensure guests breathe the freshest air by conducting regular ventilation airflow testing and have upgraded our air filtration system with MERV13 filters.

We’re kindly asking guests to use contactless payment methods such as debit or credit at all payment stations. Guests are also encouraged to purchase their tickets online, in advance.

We’re keeping our home extra clean for you. In partnership with our cleaning partner, BGD Solutions, Little Canada has ensured an extensive cleaning program in all staff and guest spaces. You will also be able to keep yourself and others safe by using the hand sanitizer stations located throughout Little Canada.

Proof of Vaccination

Exemptions will be made for children 11 years old and younger, as long as they are accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult. Those with accepted medical exemptions must present a signed letter from a medical doctor or registered nurse.

Proof of Vaccination for residents of Ontario consists of a printed or digital receipt of a second dose of vaccine that was administered a minimum of 14 days prior to visiting Little Canada. A government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, Ontario photo card, health card or passport must also be presented. Children who do not have government-issued photo ID may present their health card, school ID or library card.

Proof of Vaccination for guests residing outside of Ontario must be a provincially or nationally recognized printed or digital receipt, accompanied by government-issued photo ID.

International travellers are also required to present Proof of Vaccination and government-issued ID. Please consult https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada  for details about approved vaccines for travel to Canada.

Negative COVID-19 tests and previous COVID-19 infections ARE NOT acceptable as substitutes for Proof of Vaccination.

Proof of Vaccination is not required to purchase tickets for use at a later time or date.

All guests entering Little Canada must wear a mask, without exception. Face shields, mouth shields and other alternatives are not acceptable.

Self Screening

In compliance with Toronto Public Health measures, all guests must perform a COVID-19 self-screening prior to entering Little Canada. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19, you will be asked to visit us another time in order to ensure the safety of our guests and team members:

  1. Fever or chills

  2. Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath

  3. New or worsening cough, sore throat or trouble swallowing Runny/stuffy nose, nasal congestion, or Pink eye

  4. Decrease or loss of smell or taste

  5. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain

  6. Extreme tiredness, sore muscles or unexplained headache

  7. If you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days and are not exempt from quarantine as determined by the Government of Canada

If, within the last 14 days, you have tested Positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone with a confirmed or probable COVID-19 case

Contact Tracing

If Little Canada becomes aware that a person who has recently been inside Little Canada later tests positive for COVID-19, Little Canada will follow all Toronto Public Health guidelines for reporting and contact tracing. Little Canada will continue to communicate closely with public health officials, providing them with information relevant to their investigation of the case wherever necessary or required by law. If requested, Little Canada will provide Toronto Public Health with guest contact information to aid their contact tracing efforts. The sharing of this information is in accordance with Little Canada’s Terms & Conditions which are agreed upon at the time of ticket purchase.

 

Further, Little Canada will decide how to best proceed with any necessary additional deep cleaning and sanitation. In some instances, this may include temporarily closing Little Canada.
